"ISRAELITISCHES WOCHENBLATT"
No. 47, p.6. 24 November 1944.
An American correspondent has seen the concentration camp of Vught, which had accommodation for 30,000 occupants. At least 30,000 persons lost their lives here. There were a series of torture chambers which led to many protests. Hitler himself thereupon visited the camp which was then also opened to members of the Red Cross. The camp was dissolved soon afterwards. Of the 5,000 occupants at the time, 4,200 were deported to Ger' many and 800 were shot.
