Rumania
Traces of the great pogroms of January have not disappeared yet. Most of the synagogues in Bucharest have been destroyed. The Jews were expelled from Bucovina and deported to the Dnieper region. This measure affected 45,000 people, of whom
30,000 are said to have lost their lives as the result of a typhus epidemic. * * * The "Sunday Times" estimates that 125,000
Jews have perished under the Antonescu regime.
